Overview

The Instagram Enquiry Automation feature in SalesSensi AI helps business owners automatically handle customer enquiries on Instagram — both from comments and direct messages (DMs). The system replies instantly based on your product details and a Q&A document you provide. This ensures your customers get quick, accurate answers even when you’re not online.

How It Works

  1. A customer comments on your Instagram post or sends a direct message.
  2. SalesSensi AI checks your uploaded product details and Q&A document for a matching answer.
  3. If the question matches available data, the system sends an instant reply.
  4. If the question is outside your document or too general, the AI responds politely that it will ask the store owner and get back to them.

Example Conversation

Customer: “Is the red dress available in size M?” SalesSensi: “Yes, the red dress is available in size M. You can place your order on WhatsApp: [link]”

Customer: “Do you offer same-day delivery?” SalesSensi: “I’m not sure about that — I’ll ask the store owner and get back to you 😊”

What You Need to Provide

To enable Instagram enquiry automation, you must upload the following:

1. Product Details

Provide details of all the products you sell so SalesSensi can answer product-specific questions accurately. Typical information includes:

2. Enquiry Q&A Document

Provide a list of common questions and answers that customers usually ask. This helps SalesSensi answer general enquiries quickly and accurately.

One Private Reply per CommentOnly one DM can be sent per comment using the Private Reply API.If a customer comments “Price?”, only one automated DM will be sent. Further automated messages are not allowed for that same comment.
7-Day Time WindowPrivate replies must be sent within 7 days from when the comment was made.SalesSensi sends DMs immediately after a comment to stay within this limit.
Does Not Open the 24-Hour Messaging WindowSending a private reply does not unlock the 24-hour window for further promotional messages.You can reply once, but additional follow-up messages must follow Meta’s standard messaging rules.
